Changing billing for university-owned iPad data plan
I’m wondering if the cellular data number and SIM card for an iPad that is owned by a university department, and currently charged to a credit card, can be transferred when the monthly data plan is charged to the university department’s internal account (not a credit card). I called AT&T about this, but the person I spoke to only had info for updating credit card info.
Currently, the data plan, $30 per month for 3GB, is charged to the university department’s credit card. In order to comply with Stanford’s fiscal policies, the data plan needs to be ordered through Stanford's IT/Mobile Device Services group and paid for internally. A client services specialist in IT said I should ask if the cellular data number can be transferred.
I have access to the cellular data number, IMEI number, billing email and billing password for this iPad. If the person who uses the iPad needs to contact AT&T, I need instructions.
