As long as you are not using a Rotary Dial phone any touch-tone phone will work. You will not have to purchase a VOIP specific phone to use the U-verse voice service.

There are, however, some AT&T models of phone that are known NOT to work with U-verse. Other particular models from other manufacturers may also have issues.
