Why is it so difficult to get a POTS line installed? (residential) I moved, transferred my UVerse and Internet but had to call several times to ask ATT to set up an appointment to install a POTS line. They had to transfer us to some other 3rd party service (?) but made the appointment. When the technician came out he said there were issues with the wiring in the house (a 7 year old house) and would have to come back another day with some other equipment to fix it. He never came back. He never called.
Meanwhile I call the horrific ATT customer service line of 800-288-2020 and get shuffled around forever. I tried a lot of different ways to add this service but either they try to get me to buy digital phone line instead. I said, NO, I need a POTS line for business purposes.
You can't add this POTS line to your existing service through your online ATT account but you can only add digital phone.
