Connecting a fax imachine

The U-Verse line  enters our condo in the middle of the living room. The phone line is connected there with no connection to any other jacks. Thus there is no dial tone on any wall jack. The fax machine is in our home office. All other phones are connected in their standard wireless manner. The fax is part of a 3-in-1, and has Bluetooth connectivity.  Any suggestions would be most welcome.

kbritany You say the phone base station is currently connected to the tel 1/2 jack on the RG. Remove the RG end and plug it in to the tel jack on the FAX. Connect, the now available, tel 1/2 jack on the RG to the line jack on the modem.

Hi aviewer (ACE - Master),

The problem is that the fax machine needs to be in another room and there is no phone jack in the living room.

kbritany - There are always choices -

Move the fax next to the modem. Why not?

Move the modem next to the FAX.

Run a long wire

Connect into the house wiring following the feed cable or using another pair in the feed cable.

Use a web fax service.
