AGAIN land line does not work when it rains. you send techs out to repair, its fixed because by then the weather has cleared up. you guys know WHAT the problem is...my line is hooked up to an old line which has several shorts in it running for miles. instead of repairing one short and hopes it clears up for the day.....please repair all of them ! I have to have this landline there is not cell service here. I need this line for emergency. I had a family emergency recently and did not know about it BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT GET THRU BECAUSE PHONE WAS NOT WORKING DUE TO RAIN. What if my grandkids or even my husband or I get hurt and I can not dial out for help because its raining and phone doesnt work? please replace old lines in this area where I live in or at least repair all of them. we pay for it and we need it. if you have to raise monthly price...fine...it goes up yearly anyways!!!! this is not just a chat line for everyone around here, its an emergency phone line. by the way this has been going on since first put in phone over a year ago maybe longer.
These problems are hard to find, one thing you can do is test it from the NID when it's bad to make sure the trouble is outside your home. That way when you report the trouble you can tell them you tested from the NID and it was bad. If it's good check the wiring going into your house. If this is a feeder cable going bad I'd think more than just you would be having problems.
