Deregister AT&T orphaned phone - Model clp99587
I have a replacement base for a base that was damaged due to an electrical surge. I still have handset phones that are registered to the old base. Because of this I cannot register these phones to the new replacement base. How do I deregister handheld phone from the old base that I no longer have. The old phone shows a message -- " Out of range Or power at the base" These handhelds all have power.

Here's two proven methods to force a de-register on orphaned handsets.

This does not work on my clp99587. There is no menu button to select.

It clearly shows you where the menu button is, which you stated you didn't have.

@spoom2 actually @telephoner is correct, there is no menu button after you enter those codes. The answer is to press *331734# followed by the left soft key, which I found out by accident and then found it in another post. You then register the phone by entering it in the base. I actually had a phone whose display was no longer displaying anything. When I did all this, the display started working again too.

The OP stated there's were no keys for menu I simply directed him to the manual to show there were and how to get there. On page 4 and 5 of the link provided in post 4 two buttons are mentioned, though they are soft keys as you stated and don't say the word "menu" on them. One is a features menu (right soft key) the other (left) is used to select the item displayed in the features menu, the manual clearly calls it a "menu" key. Not having the phone in my hand I wouldn't know which of the two to push to complete the process and I appreciate you informing us that it is the left soft key.

This works on the model CLP99453. The soft button / menu key is the little - looking key / button just below the display screen.
