17 service calls in 7 months for one phone line
I have had 17 service calls in 7 months, each had 4-7 days with no service, and each required me to be home all day (17 days). Prior to this I had 45 years with few if any issues on the same phone line. What is AT&T doing to resolve the same problem from happening so frequently?. When will the phone line be fixed and be reliable again?

You don't say what service you have, but whatever it is if there's another provider in the area I think I'd be looking.

that works during extended power outages. In the past we have
experienced power outages of 10-15 days due to storms.

The only thing I can say is you know the service reliability so it's your choice whether or not to keep it. Power problems can be controlled by an UPS.

10-15 gallons of gas/day, after a storm gas is not available for weeks.
The AT&T central office has emergency power that runs for weeks, they
just refuse to fix their lines to our community. They have spent
$1,000's on service calls, they could have run a new line, a quarter
mile to their service point and saved $$.
