Spoofed calls on landline.
We got a call on our AT&T home landline from an individual who had been trying to sell his possessions in a personal advertisement. Apparently someone responding to this advertisement was spoofing our phone # in the Caller ID while contacting him. We called AT&T Customer Service, but they told us it was perfectly legal for anyone to use my private phone # to display as their own Caller ID. Really?

THERE ARE TOO FEW ARGUABLY LIGITAMITE USES OF CALL SPOOFING TO JUSTIFY ITS CONTINUANCE, IN THE FACE OF ALL THE ILLIGITAMITE AND MALICIOUS ONES, WHICH USES EASILY OUT-PACE THE LEGIT ONES IN RATIO OF AT LEAST 1O0 TO 1. #bancallspoofing
