In the linked topic a user has stated in that topic that it works through the online portal. Thank you to maxixe for letting us know this works.

Hello @Denise1965!
Welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the administrative message for the voicemail viewer. I understand how disconcerting it may be to have this message on your home phone. I am happy to help!
I will need to gather additional information, so I will be sending you a private message. Please keep any eye out.
Thank you! Have an amazing day!

AT&T I also didn't appreciate getting a call from an unknown number with a message about VM Viewer. If you want to reach out to customers, try using a phone number that identifies you. We already get nothing but unsolicited calls all day long. Also make it easier to delete. Shouldn't have to take extra steps to delete an unwanted message from numbers that appear to be spam type of calls.

Dear AT&T, I am having this problem too. At the end of the Administrative message for vm viewer the only options are repeat or continue (which also repeats). Please let me know how to delete this message so that I can tell when I have new voicemail messages. Thank you!

Same Problem. Need it fixed Now! AT&T should NOT be able to send a Voice Mail that cannot be deleted by the person paying AT&T for use of this poor service voice mail system. Why did this happen and how can it be fixed TODAY?

This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user. This is a public forum. Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them. The most effective way to get any issues resolved is to use use the contact link on the bottom of the page or call 1-800-288-2020. Some of us are employees but we are here to represent the forum with our knowledge and do not represent AT&T with our responses.

Has anybody tried this? It's been posted several times yet no one has said yay or nay as far as if it works or not.
