help!! please

My phone was stolen yesterday. I logged into my account and reported it was stolen and etc. Today I went purchased new phone w new SIM included tried to add this new phone to my account which is prepaid service but after I enter my new imei and SIM card number I keep getting an error message saying system unavailable at this time to process your request. I am unable.to.contact AT&T due to fact service isn't activated on this new phone and currently am only.able.to access internet via my WiFi. Please help me! What's next?

You have to go to an ATT store and have them make a SIM card for your old number.

If you activate that new sim yourself online, it will get a new number. If it has not been activated, either go to an ATT store or call to activate it with your number. If it has been activated, you will need a new SIM card.
