Using account balance
Hello!
I am using a prepaid plan with payment of $45 monthly.
I accidentally put $10 in my account balance. Is there a way to use this towards my monthly payment?
Does it get applied to my renewal of monthly payment without me having to refill manually/automatically?
Thank you!

Hi @hyeinyang12!
I’ll be happy to help you with your Prepaid service question!
Your monthly $45.00 plan will not deduct the difference from the $10.00 that you added to the account, so what you’ll want to do is cancel your Auto Renew, then the day before your plan expires, add $35.00 to your account and select the $45.00 plan once more.
Once you’ve done that, you can then sign up for Auto Renew once more and go back to the monthly $45.00 deduction.
To cancel Auto Renew, you’ll need to be logged you’re your GoPhone account.
You can follow these steps to cancel Auto Renew for your GoPhone package:
You can then Refill your GoPhone account balance with the steps provided from the link.
Please make sure you pick the new plan the day before your monthly service is set to expire and not sooner because you will forfeit any remaining funds on your current plan and be billed immediately for the change. You’ll also avoid any interruption in service doing this the day before.
Please let me know if you have any questions and have a great day!

Thank you for your reply.
I do not quite understand what will happen if I refill sooner than 1 day before the expiration date.
Could you please explain what would happen if I refill $35 (to my current balance $10) weeks earlier than the expiration date? Thank you.

Hi @hyeinyang12!
I appreciate you following up with your additional questions and I’m happy to help!
You can add additional funds to your account at any time without disrupting your current plan.
Keep in mind if you change your plan, that’s when you’ll forfeit your current plan and lose the funds you used to purchase it.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have additional questions.
Best regards!
