I'm French but traveling quite often to the US for business, so in order to reduce cost, I've decided to purchase a prepaid US phone (my US parent company is on AT&T, so free mobile to mobile is going to be cool ).
Now, the dumb question I have (must be really dumb because I couldn't find any clue on the internet whatsoever): toll free numbers, are they really toll free when dialing from a cell phone, or do I get charged? (and how much do I get charged?). I'm thinking of using a calling card to call France while in the US, but it's mostly interesting only if 800 are really free
In the U.S., 800 numbers calls are not free on mobile phones. Airtime for incoming & outgoing domestic calls will be deducted from your prepaid plan minutes (excluding mobile to mobile or nights & weekend minutes if your prepaid plan includes them).
