Help for a foreign girl :)

Hello,

I'm French but traveling quite often to the US for business, so in order to reduce cost, I've decided to purchase a prepaid US phone (my US parent company is on AT&T, so free mobile to mobile is going to be cool 🙂 ).
Now, the dumb question I have (must be really dumb because I couldn't find any clue on the internet whatsoever): toll free numbers, are they really toll free when dialing from a cell phone, or do I get charged? (and how much do I get charged?). I'm thinking of using a calling card to call France while in the US, but it's mostly interesting only if 800 are really free 🙂

Thanks a lot,

Lafeedesbois

In the U.S., 800 numbers calls are not free on mobile phones. Airtime for incoming & outgoing domestic calls will be deducted from your prepaid plan minutes (excluding mobile to mobile or nights & weekend minutes if your prepaid plan includes them).

Thanks a lot for your help!

I guess free airtime would have been too nice 🙂
