Do I pay immediately when I set up auto-pay?

I just got my service set up through AT&T Prepaid yesterday. However, they were unable to set up the auto-pay in store for some reason. So I created an account online.

When I go to set up auto-pay, it's telling me the amount due. I'm needing to know if I'm going to go ahead and be charged again already once setting up auto-pay, or if this is simply information for next month? Also, will the billing date change?

Is your service working? The only reasons you would be charged immediately is if your plan expired or if you changed your plan. If you paid for a plan when you got your service and it is working, then turning on autopay should not charge until it is time for your plan to renew.
