*AT&T Prepaid Card Already in USE*

I just got a new phone and sim card today, I dialed the *888* number with my pin number for my 45 dollar prepaid card and I didn't know I had to activate my new sim card online and now it's saying my prepaid card is already used, I'm thinking it's because I dialed the number without activating my new sim card online, is there a number or someone I could speak too to get this resolved because I just paid another 45 dollars just to get the phone activated now with my debt card, but I would like to use this prepaid card that I paid for today.

Thanks,

B.

Hi, @Blanco_XV,

Let's see if we can get this straightened out. Have you activated your new phone yet? Here's the instructions to activate the phone and SIM card and the activation portal for prepaid phones.

Once your phone is activated, you should be able to call 611 from the device for immediate assistance. If you're having issues with activation, you may want to go into the nearest AT&T Store for assistance.

Let us know if you still need assistance.

Re: *AT&T Prepaid Card Already in USE*

I already activated it but I had to use my debt to pay for the monthly plan because like I said it says that the prepaid card I bought from the store is already in use, and I know they won't accept the return because I scratched off the grey material to get the code, I think somehow it got messed up when I didn't activate the sim first before I dialed and enter the code on the phone I think, I'm not 100% sure what happened I don't want my 45$ wasted on nothing...

Hi, @Blanco_XV,

You may still need to take it back to the point of purchase with the receipt to have everything settled, but we want to take a look here first. To do this, we'll need to take a look at your account. We are sending you a private message (PM) to help in this matter. Please check your forums private messages by clicking the Forums Inbox. Locate the PM from ATTCares and reply to the message with your specific account details.
