I got an appointment next Friday for an internet connection with AT&T. I plan to get my equipment (i. e. modem) not to rent one during months. Well I have to say that I get no refund from AT&T (around $53/ month... So the equivalent of a proposal with AT&T modem) is that normal. Still time to cancel my appointment... Thank you for your help. Regards Eric, San Diego

You have to use the att gateway (modem/router) but that doesn't stop you from using your own router behind it. Still have the equipment fee of course as stated above. There's no escaping it.

Thank you for the answer. So it means that the installer will come with the modem/router anyway. Could we know the references of the modem? I got a bad experience with Spectrum just before (sent me a modem without router! who use that nowadays?) and I cancel it.
Thank you for your reply

There are 2 other gateways that could be installed, the 5031 and 589. Currently these are used on accounts with less than 10M internet such as 5, 3, 1.5. But would work on 12, 18, 24 and 25 internet speed tiers.
But if having a faster speed tier should see one of the 3 already listed 599, 5268 and 210-700.
