internet with or without equipment
Hi, Eric
I got an appointment next Friday for an internet connection with AT&T. I plan to get my equipment (i. e. modem) not to rent one during months. Well I have to say that I get no refund from AT&T (around $53/ month... So the equivalent of a proposal with AT&T modem) is that normal. Still time to cancel my appointment... Thank you for your help. Regards Eric, San Diego

You have to use the att gateway (modem/router) but that doesn't stop you from using your own router behind it. Still have the equipment fee of course as stated above. There's no escaping it.

AT&T internet service requires the use of AT&T leased equipment.

Thank you for the answer. So it means that the installer will come with the modem/router anyway. Could we know the references of the modem? I got a bad experience with Spectrum just before (sent me a modem without router! who use that nowadays?) and I cancel it.
Thank you for your reply
Eric

The three current gateways are the NVG599, 5268ac, and BGW210, with BGW210 being the newest model.
