Moving Uverse to new apartment

I'm moving to a different apartment complex that is already wired for ATT, but on my Move Request I still had to make an appointment for a "Technician" .

Is a tech actually going to arrive or will they just mail me another router? And I'm assuming I just return my old router to any ATT store?

Hi, @hannahlewis1993.

When moving your services to a new apartment complex a technician is needed to properly install services. Please take your receivers, remotes and owner's manuals with you. When the technician arrives to set up your transferred services, he'll take back what isn't needed.

If you keep your old DVR with you when you move your U-verse services the same recorded programs will be there and ready to watch once services have been transferred.
