Cannot transfer my service until previous tenant cancels

After a tech missed my original install date over one week ago to today when a tech finally shows up- tech gets started then discovered that my service cannot be installed until the previous tenant disconnects their service. Clearly this person is no longer living in this unit and I am a 5+ year AT&T customer with good history which should at least allow AT&T to suspend previous tenant’s service and contact them about the issue.

 

I have been without internet access for which I AM PAYING for more than 10 days. I do occasionally work from home but cannot until this is resolved. 

 

I have a call out to the landlord. 

 

What are my other options?
