Hi There @Fosters26,

Thank you so much for your question about your upload speed problem.  We can help you here.

First  and foremost can you please tell us what connection type you have. Are you connected to the router via Ethernet or are you on the WIFI connection.

An easy way to troubleshoot this is to shut all devices in the home that are connected to the internet. Start with computer that having the problem and run your speed test with everything else shut off.  Then go through the home and then one-by one, re-add the devices back to the network until problem occurs, and you have found the culprit.

Try those things and get back to us.

I am connected to ethernet, even with all devices off it still spikes, idk
if it matters but is when something is getting uploaded it spikes, when
stuff isn't getting uploaded it still does it at random.

Hey, @Fosters26.

Have your speeds started spiking recently? Was your internet working properly before? If so, can you think of anything that might have caused it to start spiking? If you haven't already, we'd also recommend resetting your Wi-Fi gateway or modem.

Let us know if this helps!

Well I did get a new modem my last one was 7years old and stayed at super high ping to the point I can't play. Nothing knew has happened in my house, It seemed to have happened when I got new neighbors, but my internet always had an issue when something like FaceTime would go on, my ping would go from 78/90 to 200/500, but now with this new modem it didn't lower my ping at all still at 78/90 but when it spikes it goes anywhere from 1000 to 2000 I wish I was kidding. Here's a screenshot of my ping while doing a speed test 20190814_214901.jpg it only gets high on the uploading part.

Hi There @Fosters26,

Thank you for getting back to us.  We do want to look at this deeper and see what we can do to help.

If you could please, do two things. Go to our speed test site and run two tests.  The first test is when you have everything connected to the internet and 2nd test is when it is just the computer via Ethernet connected.

You can post your screenshots by using the image icon in your message editor.

Looking forward to seeing those results.
