Cannot disable DNS Error Assist

DNS Error Assist continues to intercept my web traffic even though I have opted out in my account settings.  The option to disable it is not available in the modem settings.  I spent a long while on chat with U-Verse Internet Support tonight and they could not figure it out.  They reset my modem, supposedly because that was going to cause the DNS Error Assist settings to become available after it rebooted.  I was skeptical that would work, and it did not.  How can I permanently and forever turn off DNS Error Assist?!

Hi @jilted_nTX,

We apologize about the confusions. DNS Error Assist is actually not available in the modem settings. It sounds like you may have done it already, but if not, you can request to disable it at this site. Afterwards, allow up to 48 hours for it to go through. If it does not appear to be working, the biggest mistake we notice is they are not using the userID for their internet account. You want to use the one that coincides with your internet bill. Click the Check to Opt Out. If still having issues, reboot your gateway and clear the cache and cookies on your browser. Hope this helps.

The site that you provided is the same site where I have opted out of DNS Error Assist, and I was definitely logged in with the correct AT&T U-Verse credentials.  It is still disabled on the site but DNS Error Assist remains enabled for my account.
