The internet was three parts... ADSL2+ (no IPTV service option, service generally was CO or central office based), VDSL FTTN the more Uverse associated as service came from VRAD that also provided IPTV, and Uverse GigaPower or the direct fiber FTTP. The first two of ADSL2+ and VDSL were renamed ATT Internet while the latter was renamed ATT Fiber.
During this time of December of 2016 the Uverse Voip was renamed ATT PHONE, but is not the traditional POTS service most would associate home service with but still Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
Only the IPTV service still carries the Uverse branding but I refer to all three as Uverse based, hardwired gateway with 1T data cap is Uverse renamed. Uverse Gateway models past and present include the 510, 589, 599, 3600, 3800, 3801, 3812, 5031, 5168, 5268, and 210-700.
Note the 5268 with slightly different software is also used for ATT Fixed Wireless installed by DirecTv contractors.
