Well I was able to do some research and located this on another forum which was from an AT&T internet specialist:

"Motorola 2210 is a single user modem ( it can be connected to one computer at a time) and hence you can set up only one IP address."

So it would appear there is a limitation in the Motorola 2210 and that is the reason you can't connect more than one device.

You can have allot of wireless devices share the WiFi at the same time.  I probably have at least 10 to 12 devices sharing mine.  That not counting if I have friends and family over and they connect using my WiFi.

Why are you saying you can only have 1?  What are the symptoms?  What happens when you try to connect a second or subsequent devices?

When another device/user try to log in it says another device is trying to use your IP address and either you can't log in or kicks out the first user.

What kind of AT&T router do you have?  It sounds like you have DHCP in the router turned off somehow.  Let us know what router and we can help further.

Hi danijulia1855,

As beebeesa stated, the 2210 is a single port modem, but you can easily attach a router to it without any issues, since it is just a basic modem. Also, we do offer a modem/router combo you can purchase, and if you are interested in that route, let us know, and we can get you setup.

Well, it sounds like you may have solved the single modem issue. But, have you solved the issue where you can have no more hen 10 devices access the wifi at one time? I am eager to jump onto fiber with uverse; I just hate the fact that I can only have 10 devices on wifi. With new technology and devices such as entry door lock, HVAC systems, cameras, iPads, cell phones, garage doors, DVD player, smart tv's, home speakers, and the list goes on accessing your network via wifi, it is a darn shame that you limit the amount of devices. I can see it now, "want to have more then 10 devices access your wifi? Pay 10.00 per device". What a scam!!!!!!

There is no such limitation.

Why when I have an xbox1 hooked up wireless, I can't hook my laptop up wireless unless I disable the xbox 1 connection?

I have a netgear model 890-755025-15 router and rebooting it does not help the problem, but I can connect my laptop through the Ethernet cord.

@pawpawsmurf

Sounds like an IP addressing or mask issue. Please verify that both devices are using DHCP or if they are static IP address that they are different.
