phone in the same room as gateway

AT&T replaced my modem (3800HGV-B) which had an AUX port that I could plug my phone/fax into directly on the modem in the same room with a new modem (3801HGV) which does not have the AUX port.  Any ideas on how to hook up my phone/fax to the modem since the line 1/2 feeds the rest of my house lines.

I'm looking at the users manual for the 3801 and it shows 1 phone line at the top where there were 2 phone lines (prob what you called the aux port) on the 3800. 😉

Thanks...I'll try the splitter.  I wasn't sure if it would work if i plugged it into the modem itself.

Good to you do not want to connecte cautious - Also, it is complicated - In some cases the RG can be fed by the phone jack in the wall. In this case you do not want to connect the phones to that wire.

When the jack is the dial tone output it can be used directly for a phone, to feed the rest of the phones or both.
