high pitched noise from router
Is there any way to get rid of the high pitched noise from the router? Could replacing it with a non-AT&T router solve this problem if its possible? the high pitched noise is non stop and it is driving me nuts

If you have (legacy) DSL, then you can purchase your own equipment. If you have any other AT&T Internet service, then you have to have your AT&T-provided gateway to authenticate your connection. So, no, you cannot replace it with a 3rd party router. You can contact AT&T and tell them that your Gateway is making a high pitched noise and you're afraid it's about to quit working. The new one should be quieter.
