It's a pretty common complaint about the 5268ac. Mine doesn't do it but I've seen many others complaining about it. You could call 800-288-2020 and ask for ATT to send you a replacement and hope that it doesn't have the same problem. Or you could ask for a tech visit to change it out. That might be better as the tech can keep replacing it until finds a quiet one or give you a BGW210 gateway that doesn't have the problem.
