enabling wps on att residential gateway

I am wanting to enable wps for my daughter's android phone. If I do, will it cause connection/quality problems for the rest of us, who have iPhone X devices, assuming wps can run alongside the Apple compatible protocol? Would it be best to get her a wps hotspot? Thank you...Joe
