Wireless router fails to assign IP addresses

iPad with latest iOS suddenly can not connect to the network, when checking the address iPad shows 169 prefix instead of 192 prefix how do I resolve the issue?

Check to see exactly which network you are trying to connect to.  The ssid and password for your gateway are shown on a label stuck to the side of your gateway.  Also delete the default (preferred network) in your iPad and renew the DHCP lease.
