Wireless printer unable to connect to the network

Wireless printer unable to connect to the network

My HP Deskjet wireless printer suddenly is not working, it is not connecting to the network any longer.  Tried rebooting everything, reinstalling, unplugging...  nothing is working.  It does see the router, but is unable to connect.  is there something preventing it from connecting?

Re: Wireless printer unable to connect to the network

Hi @groutys,

Try this. (From the HP website)

The Wireless Setup Wizard

  1. Make sure you know your network name and your security password (WEP or WPA).
  2. Disconnect the USB cable if it is connected to the printer
  3. On the printer's control panel, press the Setup button and then select the Network menu.
The Wireless Setup Wizard displays a list of wireless networks in the area.
  4. Select your wireless network's name from the list.
  5. Enter your WEP key or WPA passphrase.

You can also try to configure the RG as follows:

1. Go to https://soc.att.com/2Nf63NP and find the RG's wireless configuration page.

2. Change the setting "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" to Disabled.

3. Change the setting "Authentication Type" to WPA2-PSK (AES).

4. Click the "Save" button at the bottom.

5. This procedure may ask for your RG's password. The default password for your RG is printed on a sticker on the side of the RG
