Might also be worth asking if you’re eligible for VDSL2. Having said that, any electrical connection is susceptible to problems if not cared for properly.

Your line 1 does have significant errors compared to line 2. Hopefully the tech can fix that up for you.
(BTW, I relocated the thread from Fiber to plain ol' Internet).
