Trouble getting a signal with AirTies Wi-Fi extender

I've connected an AirTies extender so I can get my Ring doorbell to receive a WI-fi signal. For some reason, the signal, with the extender, is intermittent. Also, the lights signifying the two bands stay solid for a short time or constantly flash and sometimes go off briefly.

What you described is normal. The 2.4 light will be solid green and the 5 GHZ should blink once every 5 seconds.

Sounds like the Airties is having problems getting a signal. Try moving it closer to you wifi router.

I moved the AirTies directly inline with the gateway and about 25 feet
distance. There is nothing blocking it. The band lights are still
blinking on and off. The power light is solid.

Are the band lights blinking green or red?

That means WPS is trying to sync to your gateway. If this continues for a long time I would take the Airties and use the ethernet cable that came with it to hook it to your gateway. Once it has synced with your gateway, you can then remove the ethernet cable and put it back where you want it.

Also check that you are using an AT&T gateway compatible with the Airties, It has to be the 599, 5268ac, or the BGW210.

Hi Transponder,

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I greatly appreciate it.

My gateway is a BGW210. I connected directly to the gateway as per your
direction. The 2.4 GHz is solid green. The 5 GHz flickers. I'm still
connected to the gateway.

Both my 2.4 and 5 blink every 5 seconds... They both show green...is this normal?

Yes. When I was having trouble with my AirTies I was told that it is
normal for the 5 to blink.
