Need help backing up to iCloud and turning UPnP or NAT-PMP on my router

Hi there,,,I'm trying to back up to iCloud and need to turn on UPnP or NAT-PMP on my router.  Don't let the abbreviations fool you.  I do not know what I'm doing with issues like this! Thanks, Suzie

 Hello @Soozla,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Forums!  To answer your question none of the routers we offer allow for uPnP due to it causes huge security holes.

However, there is a way to work around it. If you know the ports you need to open you are able to create the rule yourself in the router.

You are also able to attach a router to our router that has uPnP functionality. You would just have to setup our U-verse router for it.

Here are some extremely helpful posts explaining it depending on your router.

Motorola/Arris

2wire/Pace

Please let me know if this helps.
