Nighthawk MR1100 firmware update problem
I have a Nighthawk MR1100 LTE Mobile Router. I have been trying to find a solution to update firmware. NTG9X50C_12.05.05.00_ATT_03.12 is the latest firmware and my router is on NTG9X50C_12.02.06.01. In the firmware update section it says the " current software is up to date". My question: Is a manual download and install possible? I believe that my current firmware has a glitch that will not allow the unit to update. Thanks for any help.

Hello there @RipMeihoff!
Try manually updating your device's firmware by following these recommended instructions. Additionally, should your issue persists despite these steps, you'll want to contact NETGEAR customer support for additional support.
We hope this info helps.

Interesting device. Was unfamiliar with it until I spotted this link. In the past with routers I've been able to connect a PC to the device and flash the firmware to it by logging into the management console assuming the router provides for a manual update. They usually do.
The product is Netgear branded and if I were you, I'd go over to community, netgear, com and ask over there. They use the same forum software and should be easier to find someone to help there.
Curious as to why you aren't using WiFi Calling feature of smartphones to make up for poor cellular coverage. That's what I have to do here.

Hi, @RipMeihoff,
We'd love to help. The steps to manually update software can be found under Update & verify software on the software update for the Netgear Nighthawk page. let us know if this helps.

The check for updates option does not show up on my device. I get one of two in the firmware section. Either “software is up to date” or cannot update and it will try again later. I had hoped to be able to force the update somehow. Any help would be appreciated. I can send screenshots of the messages if you think that would help.

Hi @RipMeihoff
You may want to try resetting your device then restarting it again. The new update may then be available to you. Please let us know if this works for you.

Hello.... I think I may have found the problem with updating the firmware but I still need some feedback. There is an update for
the MR1100 but not for the MR1100ATT unit. Please tell me what the difference in these 2 models.
