When playing games online, there tends to be a lag spike every few seconds. When it comes to browsing on the web browser, the latency is not as noticeable, but playing online is very obvious there is a hiccup. On average (without the hiccups) the ping is at about 30-70 m/s. However these hiccups can go up to 1000 m/s causing massive delay in gameplay. Is there a reason for this, or is there a way to fix this?
We'll do our best to help! It seems like the spikes you're getting are associated with the traffic in your house and/or neighborhood, especially since you're gaming. You can try disabling IPv6 on your Gateway and connecting with the Ethernet .
Give that a shot and let us know how it went!
