We apologize about the issues, but we will be glad to help. One thing we noticed with the Firestick is that it can run into interference problems from the TV. A lot of people have had success by purchasing an HDMI extender to move the Firestick away from the TV and closer to the gateway.
Another thing to note is that you need to power the Amazon FireTV Stick using the included USB adapter; most TVs don't put out enough current to properly power it; usually the Stick will tell you if it doesn't have enough power, but if it just barely has enough...
