Fiber to the Apartment

I'm moving into an apartment soon (new construction, just completed four months ago). While I was looking around I found a panel with an AT&T UPS inside and a smaller white box with a capped yellow fiber cable with a green connector poking out. My installation is scheduled for this week but I was wondering what gateway would be used in this situation... Is there one that would accept a fiber cable?

Hi @Anonymous,

You will probably have one of our NVG gateways. It sounds like it is a fiber to the premise setup. With that, there is an optical network terminal that the fiber goes to and from there it is an Ethernet cable that goes to your gateway.

Hope this helps.

Hi David,

You were right! An ONT was installed and the gateway they set up was an NVG589.
