My residential Gateway keeps dropping WiFi signals AND ethernet. I have two computers plugged directly into the unit and almost every time I turn them on, they can't get an ethernet signal. I have to plug them in multiple times manually. WiFi drops from phones and tablet continuously throughout the day. I've tried every fix in the forum. I just need a new Gateway, for crying out loud.
I'm five minutes from dropping ATT internet service. In the past, I was always able to connect online and in ten minutes get helped. Calling them is terrible and requires hours. This is a simple problem with a simple fix. I shouldn't have to spend so much time with it.
We're happy to help in any way we can. Before we move much further, we would like to verify some troubleshooting results with you. We know that you've tried everything you can find here on the forums, but sometimes the simplest methods can be overlooked.
First, we want to make sure you've attempted to Reboot your Router to refresh your connection to the AT&T network. This is usually able to solve most connection-related problems.
Second, have you already double-checked all the connections to and from your router to ensure they are all secured, including the connections from the wall to the router? sometimes a loose cable makes all the difference.
We hope either of these can help you! Let us know if you need any further assistance! Alexander, AT&T Community Specialist
