Ditching the AT&T Provided ARRIS internet router NVG510 & Using My Own NVG510
I am a new DSL+ Uverse Subscriber and want to return the ARRIS NVG510 Router supplied in the installation kit and use my own NVG510 thereby eliminating the $7.00 equipment rental...What is the process I need to follow to make this 'Happen'???

Just as I thought - a 'forever' charge for a $100 RG - really stinks & just another way to dig-deeper into the Customers Pocket!!! Though I'm a new U-Verse DSL+ Customer and have been a long lime DSL Customer, I am serisoly considering 'ditching' this service for the local Cable DSL...They will allow you to 'own' / 'provide' your RG - no 'forever charge' for a $100 RG...On top of that - much faster download / upload speeds with only 'modest' billing increase...
So is loosing a 'long-time' Internet Customer worth the $7.00 equipment charge ??? I think not but if that's the way you want - I'll be ditching you service in the next 30 days!!!
