Dish Hopper - tech was out and said ATT needed a router to "bridge"

So I have a Dish Hopper w/ 2 Joey's.  in the last few month's my Joey continually loses Broadband connection multiple times a night.  Resetting the network connection only works for a little while and it will happen again.  We had a Dish tech come out and he replaced the Joey (it was 4+ years old).  However, he informed me that ATT recently ( a few months ago) updated their "bridging policy".  Which, according to the DISH tech means we need a router to solve this problem.  My quesiton is - what kind of router does anyone recommend and how do we set it up for bridging correctly?  Apparently, the Joey's broadband connection comes through the Hopper - they aren't connected to the Wi-fi separately.  We do NOT have any devices wired directlt to the ATT modem/Gateway.

Hi There! @colefamtx

We understand Dish has sent you to us to check on your internet service equipment. We can look at that.

Can you please verify what internet service do you have?

Chan you provide a screen shot of your current internet equipment?

Once we have that information, we can continue on to the next step.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
