Default Wireless Network Key/Default Password

I have the AT&T provided 2Wire gateway.

For added security, should I change my Network Name (SSID)? Do I need to change my System Password (which shows up as “Default Password” under System Info?

Is using the default Wireless Network Key printed on the System Label a risk?

I am curious about the level of risk when just running things out of the box, and not changing any settings. Can someone hack into my wi-fi, my network, my computer? I’d love to get the advice of a security guru.

Thanks!
