Can I assign a guest account to one of the ethernet ports on Arris NVG589?

I have ATT UVerse and I want to connect my Cisco 1262 wireless AP to one of the ports on the back of my Arris NVG589 so it can get to the internet but not to my network on the other port on NVG589 or the wi-fi on NVG589.  If this possible?  If so how can I do this?

Thanks

Greetings OhioBill,

Thank you for reaching out to us on AT&T's Community and Forums platform. Since the question you have is in regards to 3rd party equipment and installation, your best option is to contact the manufacturer of your Cisco 1262 wireless AP device. This will address the concern of compatibility and instructions how to connect.

Thank you for your time and hoping your week is enjoyable!

Perhaps I should have stated my question more clearly. I would like to
know if it is possible to assign one of the four physical ethernet ports on
the back of my Arris NVG589 to be a guest port that can only connect to the
internet, not to the rest of my network that is connected to one of the
other hardware ports.
