Hi There @jaysonmiller

We understand that you are unable to connect your Echo to your router.  We can help you with that.

The first thing is that the Echo is able to detect the Wireless settings of the AT&T router. That means that the Echo needs to be able to detect the SSID(network name) of the router.

Sometimes, distance can be a factor in device connection problems. So moving the Echo closer to the router may do the trick.

As for not being able to download the app onto your phone, can you give us what error message you are getting?

Please let us know.

I just got att installed today for internet and my echo and echo dot will not connect. I changed the 2.5 and 5 ghz ssid to different names and it doesnt work. I get to the point where it asks me to choose the amazon-xxxx in wifi i do and it says no internet connected. What do I need to do to fix this? I will go back to spectrum if this doesnt work.

I am currently having the same issue. I have 3 echos one will connect,  the others will not. I cannot understand the difference. Any updated instructions?

I just talked to att on the phone and they said the new amazon echo 4th gen is not compatible with att fixed wireless because it needs IP pass through. She said not to worry because it will be compatible, they are currently working on it. There is no telling how long that could take though. I also have the U-Verse router. My echo 4th gen sees router just will not connect to it.

@SwordArt I am highly skeptical of the claim that the 4th Gen Echo needs IP Passthrough.  It makes no sense.

I also just hung up from an agent and they said that my 4th gen will not work with their service. What the heck. The confusing part is, I have had it connected since Christmas. It suddenly stopped and now won’t reconnect.

I, too, cannot connect the exho dots that i got my children for Christmas. The Gosuna lightbulbs also will not recognize my U-verse. Talk about spoiling Christmas!!!! When I talked to a rep, from ATT and Alexa, they seemed baffled and didn't have any answers for me.  I still have these devices and it is too late to return and my kids are heartbroke. Why can't ATT fix this issue???????????????????

It's July, dude.  You've been working on this since December?

Gosuna?  Did you mean "Gosund?"  They seem to have a pretty bad rep on Amazon.  Maybe the fault is with Gosund.  Maybe not.  Hard to tell.

All my dots are working fine on AT&T.  That's not to say you're not struggling with your particular Gateway.  Have you considered getting your own access point?
