Announcement: If you received an email to set up password recovery options for your AT&T Mail account, it is the real deal from AT&T. If you find out that you cannot remember your email or password, we have solutions for you below.

Top 3 Email Solutions

Using a client? Can't Sign In? Yahoo.com vs Currently.com
If you are having a hard time using your client, you may need to set up AT&T's New Security Feature to sign-in. Sometimes we forget our passwords and enter the wrong one. Resetting your password is one of the fastest ways to get back into your account.  If you are routed to AT&T's Sign-in, this is normal. Just use your att.net, sbcglobal.net, or bellsouth.net as normal.
Learn about Oauth and Secure Mail Key and compaible clients. Make sure you are using the right ID. Find it now. Still having trouble? Using a different browser or clear cache and cookies

If you have a free email account, you can reset the password at our email reset page.

  1. Go to Forgot Password page.
  2. Enter your User Name/ email address.
  3. Enter your Last Name.
  4. Follow the prompts.

If you are having issues with loading the login page, go to currently.com and click on the mail icon at the top right.

There is a way to change your password without knowing your security questions.  Go here.  That provides two ways to reset the password; using the security questions or using another email address to text message address.  Obviously you would use the second method.  There's a little video on that page describing the process.

A confirmation is sent as a text message or to email address you specify.  If you elect to do email then you can always set up a free email account in any number of places like gmail, aol, hotmail, etc.

Reset your password with security questions

  1. Visit the Forgot Password page.

  2. Select Password.

  3. Enter your full AT&T email address and your last name.

  4. Select Continue.

  5. From the drop-down menu, select I'll answer my security questions.

  6. Answer the security questions that you set for your account.

  7. Select Continue.

  8. Enter your new password choice.

  9. Hit continue.

  10. You should receive a message saying that your new password selection has been successful. At that point it will log out and bring you back to your login page to enter in your name password and log back into the system.
