can no longer sign in to my flash.net e-mail account
I had no problem accessing my flash.net account yesterday and today I can't sign in on any device. It won't accept my password and if I say "forgot password" it returns a message that says "we can't sign you in right now. Please to try again later."
This is very frustrating! How can I get to my e-mail account?

Hi @majorv,
A security upgrade is coming to AT&T email, so if you have certain email programs or apps, you’ll have to update your settings. Learn more about the security upgrade.
If your program or app is affected, be sure to create a secure mail key. You’ll need it to set up or keep getting your AT&T email with a desktop program or mobile app.

I tried this with my flash.net accounts, and it didnt work on WindowsLive Mail. That's the program I use and am most comfortable with. WHY are you changing things? I've had these addresses for almost 20 years, and am seriously considering cancelling my account because of these changes. I have five email addresses for myself and family, and have always had the option to use POP so I didn't have to go into my browser to check these emails. Now, either I get that stupid 'key' (which didn't work) or I have to use webmail. Nope. So what should I do?

Well, it's checking again. You people need to fix your email servers. And give us a system status page that's updated when there's a problem please. so that we don't have to scour the net looking for answers.

Then don't use the password or OAuth and try a secure mail key instead. Read this (which includes a link to how to create a secure mail key).

Actually, to get access to my flash.net account back I had to call AT&T customer support, and they reset my password. I think whatever changes they’re making can affect your account, because I did not get locked out for forgetting my password.

So my flash.net email address was working fine in Outlook when suddenly 11/12 it stopped - unable to connect to the server. After 3 hours (on 2 separate calls) no one in ATT Advance Tech Support could solve my issue. It is suggested that I need to obtain a secure mail key. However I tried following the instructions however when I log into my profile, I do not see what is described in the instructions - no scroll down, no Secure mail key/manage secure mail key anywhere. Why is that?
