Unable to Receive Emails but can Send Them.

I've been attempting to regain access to an old email. I've been able to sign into the account, when sending an email from the account, it goes through without issue. However, when I attempt to send email to the account, I receive this message in return:


Address not found
Your message wasn't delivered to XXXXXXXXXX@bellsouth.net because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.

The response from the remote server was:

550 5.2.1 <xxxxxxxxxx@bellsouth.net>... blank mailhost - invalid address, relay=[XXX.XX.XXX.XX]


Email address was anonymized to prevent spam for the purposes of this message. Account has been accessed via Windows 10 OS, using Chrome and Edge. Email is sent from another bellsouth.net email address, as well as from a gmail.com account. I am not using a client or service to receive these messages, using the email address directly through att.net and yahoo.com. All account settings have been checked, no filters made, no address blocked.

We understand many of our past and current members still use their bellsouth, sbcglobal, and legacy email address. We have seen a few posts and increased # of searches related to the emails. We wanted to share some information that will help you address trouble you may be having with your account.  Here  are some troubleshooting steps that should help you address most issues.
