Can I login with my sbcglobal.net email address and password?

I am trying to help a friend with an SBCGlobal.net email account.

She still uses an old SBCGlobal website to access mail and I can't find a way to import addresses or create groups using that site.  I know how to do it with the ATT Yahoo email website. She now has ATT for internet but wants to keep the sbcglobal email address.

Can she use the ATT Yahoo site to log in using her old email address and password?

Hi @FriscoJim,

Yes, your friend can use her SBCGlobal.net email to login the ATT Yahoo website using her current password information. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

For more information, check out our bellsouth.net/ sbcglobal email article. It goes over how to access your free email, password resets for free email, and login issues.

Thanks

I have seen a couple articles that say sbcglobal.net address will not work anymore because of ATT & Yahoo split?

I can't find info on what needs to be done to continue to be able to access email. Any help ?

I'm sure you have already figured it out by now, but my understanding is that your sbcglobal.net email should still work as it has previously.  Emails that I have received from AT&T have specifically stated that there will be no change to how your AT&T related email works. My sbcglobal.net email still works and is still routed through Yahoo! mail, even when I log in through att.net. In addition, the following article (partial quote that is related to email is included) also confirms that our email should continue to work.

It would have been nice if they had specifically explained that Yahoo! mail would still be handling our email, as it has been for years.  Perhaps that will change sometime in the future, but it still works that way now.

Changes to Yahoo access for AT&T customers

...You will continue to have full access to your current AT&T email (att.net, sbcglobal.net, bellsouth.net, etc.) as these are part of the AT&T family and not owned by Yahoo. You will always be able to access your AT&T email from att.net.

I followed ATT's information to the letter on how to unmerge and ATT took my sbcglobal email completely away. I've had that email for 25 years and lost vital information I had saved in my folders. Now they say they can't get it back and I cannot unmerge my yahoo account from ATT. So be very careful when you try to unmerge or ATT will demolish your email!

My sbcglobal.net email has stopped and I can't even log in. How do I fix this and gain access to my emails?

It seems many people started having this issue last month. I have been on phone over 8 hours with support and 3 hours in person in the store.  No one has helped yet.  In fact, they are all giving me the run around.  I am currently looking for a new provider, but still I don't want to lose the emails in folders I have saved for over 20 years either!  ATT please help!

I heave suddenly lost my sbcglobal email and cannot retrieve it. I have tried on different computers but no luck. I no longer have ATT and they keep referring me to their site. Can anyone help with this as I have important places and people tied to this account.

But what happens to the yahoo accounts? Yahoo switched off their servers and state that ATT has the contractual obligation to support us. I can not get to any of my emails or folders
