Hello, the password on my sbcglobal.net account has been changed (NOT BY ME) and I cannot reset the password. I have tried going to att.net to change it, but it wants to send me a verification code to the email I cannot access and I do not have the recovery phone number any longer. The only AT&T account I have is DirecTV. There are many important emails in there I cannot access including one for an interview today at 10:00 a.m. HELP!!!!

No good. If you can't access, you can't make the change. 2nd time in a couple of months I've been locked out of my primary email with 2 others still working. A 20 year old free sbcglobal.net email and ATT says they can do NOTHING unless I have it associated with an ATT account.

Your sbcglobal.net is an att account albeit a legacy account.
If you knew your security questions you could use Forgot ID/Password as another way to reset the password. It too also gives you the option of using a recovery email address but you, like apparently so many others, insist on specifying a recovery address of the account they want to recover rather than some other (permanent or semi-permanent) email address, e.g., a gmail address. I keep repeating this in the hopes that people reading it get the hint before it's too late.
On the other hand, for legacy account problems, I keep pointing people to the Digital Assistance Center (877-273-2728).

Tried all the suggestions. Having the problem for several days. On Saturday it was able to get into my email [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.] for a minute. Tried to sign in today and locked out again. followed the reset password page and them get an error message.

I am having the same issue as AirForce1965. Has anyone responded with a solution?
