Need more information:
I have personally have opened an email before it was entirely downloaded and the message was blank for a few seconds but I consider that normal.

I deleted many old emails the other night and now all the new ones are blank and only contain a sender and subject and no actual message. We have windows and an sbcglobal.net address and use google chrome.

To eliminate the web browser, download another; FireFox as an example. I have three web browsers myself (Chrome, Safari, and FireFox) primarily for this reason.
If you haven't already, reboot your PC.
I found this article: Blank Email. There were other, similar articles that had to do with Yahoo Mail being the issue.
