Blocked Domain, Email or IP address Questions and Discussion

Hi, I'm the syadmin of an ESP.   For some reason most of our users with ATT email addresses are unable to receive emails from the system.  We've tried numerous times reporting the issue to ATT blocks, however the issue still exists and our users are getting frustrated.  Can you help please?

This is the ATT error message from our email server.  We use Elastic Email as our Email service provider.  They believe you are blocking our domain for some reason, as they have already moved us to another ip.

Here's an example of the error we are getting:

553 5.3.0 alph154 DNSBL:RBL 521<64.159.65.119 >_is_blocked.For information send an email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

This affects most of the IPs in our netblock (64.159.65.0/24) but not all.

We've reported this many times now and gotten no reply. It's been over a month.  We've gone through every remediation step listed here:

http://rbl.att.net/block_inquiry.html

Filled out the form here a number of times:

http://rbl.att.net/cgi-bin/rbl/block_admin.cgi

We emailed:

abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

I tried this form as well:

http://rbl.att.net/end_user_request2.html

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Dan

Re: Black List Removal Request

Please remove 108.179.223.24 from the blocklist.

Attempts to use the abuse email have been ineffective.

Rejected Email to AT&T: IP_is_blocked.For assistance forward this email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

Our mail server IP is not listed on any DNS RBL (Globally including SpamHaus) and has valid PTR and SPF records. The Server is 2 weeks old with 12 Hosting clients on it. It also has a Verified Premium Security SSL Certificate from Comodo and is further Housed in the BLUEHOST Network (Dedicated Server - Spent $2000x3 years)....

We cannot even send any whitelist requests to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net, but as so many others I have read, have never received a reply, nor resolution.

In the cases I've seen this issue resolved here in this community board (instead of having a dedicated security support team access), it has taken the action of an ATT Community forum Specialist (Thank You, BTW, for monitoring these postings) to interact with the forum member, and subsequently forward a whitelist request to the appropriate ATT department.

We would greatly appreciate assistance from AT&T in this matter. This has been a problem for *2 weeks and counting* and A lot of my clients are AT&T Subscribers that cannot even email themselves from their respective business hosting accounts that utilize our server's email system (via that IP).  Thank you for your help!

Here is the copy of the notification when sending and then receiving the generic bounce back:(Doesn't matter which subset hosting account is used our email server's IP needs to be whitelisted):

My personal email addresses getting blocked from hostgator

I've had Gigapower since August 2016 and everything has worked fine.    Now, all of a sudden, I can't get my email hosted by Hostgator web hosting.     I can get to my website hosted by hostgator, but can't connect to email when I'm on my home AT&T Gigapower internet from MacBooks, iPhones or iPads.   If I turn off wifi and use my cellular, I connect perfectly fine and get my email.   I have contacted Hostgator support and they say they don't see a problem from their end and email connections aren't hitting their servers.  Who do I contact to see if AT&T blacklisted hostgator?

emails not being received

Hello,

I am sending out a paid class to my customers using Mailchimp. Several of my AT&T (sbc global and bellsouth) customers are reporting emails not received, even though they have added me to the safe lists for spam. Theyvé checked junk folders and the email is not there. I have all successful send receipts on my end - no errors at all.

Please help me to unblock my email address from your clients as it is causing a lot of stress from my customers not receiving their product.

Thank you,

Alyce

Re: Blocked IP help

Hello,

Have you heard back from anyone to resolve this issue?

I'm having the EXACT same problem with my IP being blocked, and no one has responded. It has been over a month now, despite the fact that I was informed that I would hear back from someone or the would the IP "block will be removed within 24 to 48 hours."

I have emailed abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net multiple times over the past 6 weeks. Can someone help please?

Re: Please remove our IP from your blacklist

Glad to hear that they resolved this for you 🙂

I'm still waiting for a response from them.

Were you notified in any way when they unblocked your IP? Or did you have to just keep checking?

Re: Blacklist removal request

Hello,

When can I expect to get my IP unblocked? I've already sent an email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net over a month ago, and the issue still persists. Can you please respond?

@iamiJohn How can I send direct message you with the IP address so that you can send a request to have it removed, as you mentioned above?

Thank you.

Re: Cannot get IP removed from block list

We also are getting blocked by ATT and SBCglobal.net

We already sent email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net, however the issue has not been resolved.

<<< 553 5.3.0 alph165 DNSBL:ATTRBL 521< X.X.X.X >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

Please provide details of how I can send you the IP we are having issues with. I do not see an Option to send a PM.

Remove Blocked IP Addresses

We get blocked every few months on ATT, we are not a spam source and email servers are secured and clean.

The two IP Addresses that need to be unblocked:

64.62.198.41

Failed Recipient: xxxxxxxxxx@bellsouth.net
Reason: Remote host said: 553 5.3.0 alph736 DNSBL:ATTRBL 521< 64.62.198.40 >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

Thanks!
