When my boyfriend and I moved apartments we switched from Xfinity to AT&T as we saw an online promo "Online Only Get a $100 AT&T Visa Reward Card". So we signed up online. AT&T Tech was here for over 8 hours, he advised he could not get the advertised speeds into our building (service does say 'Speed up to') so understood we had to live with that. Our first bill was for $100 installation, but thought that's ok as when I signed up expected this would be offset by the $100 promo as I would not have switched otherwise. Called Customer Service as I never received the Reward Card & was on the phone for over an hour as they said I was not eligible & had to speak to the Rewards team who is only available M-F/9-5 when I'm at work. If I had known this was going to be so much trouble I would have never switched. Could not be more disappointed & really regret switching from Xfinity Feel like writing a letter to the FCC as feel like I was tricked. I have a credit score of 750+ (with all 3 credit bureaus) & make over $100k a year, but after the Tech left, I received 3 letters in the post saying my AT&T credit score was too low & that I would have to pay up front which I already had

Currently having the same issue. I’ve had service for almost 2 months & have been told prior to today that it could take a few weeks to recieve. Now I am being told that the reward never existed & that there’s nothing they can do about it. I guess AT&T doesn’t care that it’s fraud.

Same here. The "reward card" appears to be nothing but a scam. Of course they say "Call the Reward Center", just passing the buck. The "Reward Center" will give you a dozen excuses for why you are not eligible for the reward while AT&T (which apparently has no control over their own "Reward Center") shrugs their shoulders. Unbelievable. No, wait, it's AT&T - totally believable.
I *never* received the so-called letter that I was supposed to receive with my "claim code". I'm sure, now 8 months later, that even if there is a claim code somewhere in the ether for me, they'll say it's expired. Can't wait until I can move to a zip code with choices!

SAME HAPPENED HERE! AT&T You know doing this is illegal right? I didn't even know about the visa thing, YOUR customer service rep told me about it while I was building my package and HE is the one who said i should receive something in mail in like 8 weeks. I never did. Haven't heard a thing about it. FALSE ADVERTISING IS AGAINST THE LAW!

I’ve had the same issue with AT&T. The agent called me in January offering a $100 Visa reward card for new internet service promotion. States it would take 6-8 weeks for reward to process after installation. Since then, I’ve made a few calls regarding status to be told It’ll be mailed out in April. Call today to check on status and all of a sudden, there’s no record of promotion offer. Then was told several more different excuses for each agent I was transferred to. The excuses ranged from the agent who told me no longer works there to the agents told me the card was being processed because “they were scared”. I’ve never heard such crap in my life. I asked agent to pull up call and she stated she’s going over notations from call. I told her to pull up the recorded conversation since each call is recorded. Then I get put on hold to be told it’ll take 7-10 business days to follow up. I know they’ll come up with some more scripted scenarios to tell me. But I’m not going to let this go!! I want what I was offered!!

Same story I never received the reward card.. Installation was done 2 months back & when I called customer care they said ' reward doesn't exist.
It is scam. Long wait time on customer care & 1 customer care will transfer call to another. This is fraud just to attract new customer commit anything at first place & later on just mention 'SORRY'.

Aargh... This does not bode well.
I'm about 5 weeks into service , and have not received this reward notification letter. The reward center claims I don't exist. Another option has me call the 800-675-8459, which so far is just an extended on call hold with no end in sight.

I think atory continues..
I had opened a AT&T Fiber internet account on June 10 2019. I am yet to get the 100$ rebate card. I had captured screenshots while applied for this offer. I tried to chat, no luck.. called 800 288 9983 , but put on hold for almost 2 hours. Could you please help in resolvving this issue ?

At&t cheated people with thier money. Same happened to me, signed up online when they were running 100 dollar promotion in june. Card never came, finaly was able to call them today. They said since the reward was 120 days past installation date, they can not do anything. Really disappointed that they can not deliver what they prmoted and promised. Will be changing the service really soon.
